XVI.B.4.b. CP26
CP26 (and CP29)are closer to the PSII reaction center than CP24. Cp26 binds 10-15% of the Chl in PSII.(for a general review see Akerlund, 1993). It has a Chl a/b ratio of 2.0-2.2. It appears to consist of two apoproteins of 28 and 29 kDa.
A query for CP26 addressed to the various protein databases listed in the Biology Workbench, yielded 7 records which are depicted under Sequenced CP26. These sequences can be used for Sequence Similarity Searches or other manipulations using one of several routines described in the Biology Workbench or elsewhere (see AntheproW which can be downloaded via anonymous ftp from: ibcp.fr; pub/Antheprot/Windows/anthe 3_1 directory).
