A. Delta-Aminolevulinic Acid Synthetase (ALA Synthetase)
A query for ALA synthetase (see Section II/ A. Biosynthesis of ALA / 1. In Animal Cells and Lower Plants) addressed to the SwissProt and PIR protein databases via the Biology Workbench, yielded 16 distinct sequences which are depicted under Sequenced ALA synthases . These sequences can be used for Sequence Similarity Searches or other manipulations using the Bilogy Workbench.
